John S. Tsakonas, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Tsakonas, a graduate of the School of Engineering of Columbia University in New York, received his medical education from the State University of New York at Syracuse. He completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at the George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
He remained at George Washington as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine completing an extra year of invasive and interventional cardiology. Dr. Tsakonas is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA, and is a member of the Attending Clinical Faculty in Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention at the Wadsworth VA Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Tsakonas is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty Boards of Cardiovascular Disease and cardiac CT angiography. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the Society of Cardiac CT.
